GEO: Oriental, Slavic and Modern Greek Studies Group UR 1340
The Modern Greek Studies Department is part of the GEO host team (UR 1340). GEO brings together Arabic, Chinese, Hebrew, Japanese, Modern Greek, Persian and Iranian, Slavic and South Asian studies. It covers linguistic, literary and socio-cultural fields.
According to the 2008-2012 quadrennial plan, the chosen research project is "Gender in language, literature and society". This theme is approached from a linguistic, literary and cultural perspective.
The Department also maintains close links with other research teams, in particular LiLPa (Linguistics, Languages, Speech - EA 1339) and its component GEPE (Groupement d'études sur le plurilinguisme européen). .
